Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of Receipts at ivegotreceipts.com (the "service"), run by its operators ("we"). By using the service you agree to them. The service is in open alpha: features, limits and these terms will change.
Points only. No money.
Receipts is a game for bragging rights. Nobody pays to enter a pool, and nobody wins money or anything of value. You may not use the service to run, track or settle bets or wagers for money or anything of value, on or off the service.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
Pools, hosts and players
Anyone can start a pool. Whoever holds a pool's host link can run it: add questions, lock picks, call results, and remove or rename players. Once a pool is saved to an account, its host link only works for that account (and any admins its host makes), signed in. Keep your host link private. Player recovery codes work the same way for a single player in a single pool. We can't tell who is holding a link or code, so treat them like passwords.
Hosts decide the questions and call the results. We don't check whether a result was called correctly.
Accounts
Free accounts use a sign-in link emailed to you. Keep access to your email secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Free accounts have limits (how many pools you can run and play in, and pool sizes), shown on the plans table. We may change those limits.
Automated access
You can connect an AI assistant to your account in two ways: with a personal access token, made on your account page, or by signing in and approving the assistant when it asks to connect (an MCP connection). Either way, it's a connection to your account, and these terms apply to both.
- Connections are personal, and so are tokens. Don't share them, and don't connect your account to an assistant other people can use.
- Only approve a connection you started yourself, from your own assistant.
- You're responsible for what your assistant does with your account, the same as if you had done it yourself.
- Host actions made through a connection, like locking picks, calling results or ending a pool, are marked agent-assisted. Everyone in the pool can see the mark, and it stays on the pool's results receipt.
- Read using an AI assistant before you connect one, especially before giving it host access.
- You can disconnect any connection on your account page. We can revoke a token or connection, or limit automated access, if it's misused or puts the service at risk.
- Points only, through an assistant too: the rules above apply the same way.
What you post
You're responsible for the pool names, questions, options and display names you enter. Don't post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that shares someone's private information, and don't use the service to bully anyone. You keep ownership of what you post, and you let us store and show it to the people in your pool so the service works.
We may remove content or pools, or block access, if we think these terms are being broken.
How long pools last
Pools started without an account stay open for 3 months and then become read-only. We may not keep them more than a year after that. Pools on an account have no set end date today, but we don't promise to keep any pool forever. Hosts can end a pool at any time.
The service is provided as is
The service is an early, free product, provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. It may have bugs, go down, or lose data. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, standings or bragging rights, arising from your use of the service.
Changes and ending
We may change or stop the service, or update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll update the date above and, where we reasonably can, tell signed-in users. You can stop using the service at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
